Ceiling Roses
Decorative and concentric ceiling roses in lightweight polyurethane, from 250mm to 1400mm diameter. Every rose in the range is paintable, moisture and mould resistant, and fits with adhesive alone up to 650mm. Prices start at £17.99 inc VAT.
Decorative roses carry a moulded floral, leaf or feather relief and suit period properties. Concentric roses use a ring or ripple pattern with clean repeating lines, which sits better in modern interiors and alongside contemporary light fittings.

Choosing the right size
The rose needs to suit the room rather than the light fitting. As a rough guide, a 250mm to 370mm rose suits a small bedroom, hallway or cloakroom. A 460mm to 620mm rose is the usual choice for an average living room or dining room. Anything above 660mm is for a large room with a high ceiling, a stairwell or a commercial space, where a smaller rose would simply disappear.
If you are replacing an existing rose, measure the old one before ordering. If you are fitting from scratch, mark the diameter out on the ceiling with chalk and stand back before you commit.
Why polyurethane
Plaster roses are heavy, brittle and awkward to lift into place single handed. Polystyrene is light but the detail is soft and it dents if you catch it.
High density polyurethane holds a sharp moulded edge, weighs little enough to fit without a second pair of hands, and will not absorb moisture, so it suits bathrooms and kitchens as well as living rooms. Every rose is supplied ready to paint, and most water based and oil based paints suit it, though it is worth testing a small area first.
Sizes, centre holes and fixing
Four roses arrive with the centre already cut: Eleganza Echo, Solstice Spark, Blossom Bouquet and Spirale Agrifoglio. On the rest the centre is solid and needs core drilling on site. The figure below is the largest hole you can cut without breaking into the pattern, so check it against your light fitting before ordering.
The fixing method depends on diameter, not design. Under 650mm holds on adhesive alone. Over 650mm needs adhesive plus panel pins at 25cm intervals around the perimeter while the adhesive cures. Full illustrated fitting instructions are available as a downloadable PDF.

Check your light fitting first
Measure what your fitting needs to pass through the ceiling before choosing a rose. Harmony Halo and Celestial Charm take 10mm and Pennuto 15mm, so they suit a ceiling with no fitting through the centre, or a fitting with its own plate wide enough to cover the middle of the rose.
