Ceiling Tiles
Replacement ceiling tiles and panels for suspended ceilings, held in stock for next working day delivery. Every tile we sell measures 595 x 595mm so it drops neatly into a standard 600 x 600mm grid.
Which tile you need depends on the room. Fine Fissured is the everyday choice for offices, classrooms and hallways, with good acoustic and thermal performance. Easy Clean vinyl tiles have a wipeable surface and sealed edges, so they suit commercial kitchens, bathrooms and anywhere subject to steam or moisture. Zentia tiles, formerly Armstrong, cover the specification end with Cortega, Fission and Aruba.
If you are replacing damaged tiles in an existing ceiling, take one down and measure it before ordering. Ceilings installed before the 1970s may be built to imperial sizes and will not accept a 595mm tile.

Replacing tiles in an existing ceiling
Take one tile down before you order anything. Measure it, look at the edge profile and check the face pattern against the tiles here.
Most ceilings installed since the 1970s use a 600 x 600mm grid and take a 595 x 595mm tile. Older ceilings may be built to imperial sizes, usually 2ft x 2ft or 2ft x 4ft, and a 595mm tile will not sit properly in them.
Patterns are discontinued and replaced over the years, so an exact match is not always possible. If you are close but not certain, order a sample and hold it against the ceiling before committing to a pallet. You can also bring a tile into our trade counter in Paignton and we can usually identify it on sight.
Why 595mm and not 600mm
The grid is set out on a 600 x 600mm module, measured from the centre of one main tee to the centre of the next. The tee itself has a 24mm exposed face, so the opening the tile drops into is slightly under 600mm.
A 595 x 595mm tile allows for that, sitting on the flange with a small tolerance so it can be lifted and tilted back out. A true 600mm tile would not fit.
The same applies to the 1200 x 600mm layout, where the tile is 1195 x 595mm.
Wipeable and hygienic tiles
Standard mineral tiles are porous. In a kitchen, washroom or anywhere with steam, grease or regular cleaning, they stain, sag and eventually need replacing.
Our Easy Clean vinyl tiles have a wipeable face and sealed edges, so they can be cleaned down without absorbing moisture. They suit commercial kitchens, food preparation areas, washrooms, bathrooms and treatment rooms. They are also the usual choice where an environmental health inspection is a consideration.
For offices, classrooms, corridors and retail space, where cleaning is occasional rather than routine, a standard mineral tile like Fine Fissured is the better value option.
Not sure which tile you need?
Order a sample at £2.99 and you get a full tile rather than a cut piece, so you can hold it against your existing ceiling and check the match before ordering a pallet. Or use our suspended ceiling calculator to work out how many tiles your room needs.
